Office and Corporate Interior Design in Ahmedabad

Your workplace says as much about your company as your products do. A head office is where you recruit, where you host clients, dealers and partners, and where your team spends most of its working day. A well-planned office makes that easier; a poorly planned one quietly costs time, attention and goodwill every day.

Studio MINIM is an architecture and interior design studio in Ahmedabad, founded in 2018 by Ar. Shruti Desai (CEPT). Offices, corporate houses and commercial spaces are where the studio built its practice, and we continue to design them in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat.

Who we design offices for

  • Corporate head offices for manufacturers and brands, including building-material companies who want the office to reflect the quality of their products.

  • Corporate houses and group offices with leadership suites, boardrooms and multiple business units.

  • Growing companies moving from a first office into a larger, planned workplace.

  • Regional and branch offices that need to match a group standard.

  • Professional practices that host clients regularly.

The problems we solve

  • Offices that do not reflect the brand. Generic interiors make a strong company look ordinary to clients and recruits.

  • Space that does not match how teams work. Too many cabins, too few meeting rooms, or open plans with no quiet space.

  • No room to grow. Layouts that need a rebuild every time the team expands.

  • Poor comfort. Glare, noise, stuffy rooms and weak lighting reduce focus.

  • Uncontrolled projects. Fit-outs that run over budget and time because decisions were not made early.

Office types and what they need

  • Corporate head office. Priorities: Brand expression, reception and client areas, boardroom, leadership suites, mix of team and focus spaces

  • Manufacturer's office with product display. Priorities: A product gallery or material library for visiting architects, dealers and buyers

  • Growing company office. Priorities: Flexible open plan, phased expansion, shared meeting rooms

  • Branch or regional office. Priorities: A repeatable standard adapted to each site

  • Practice or consultancy. Priorities: Client meeting rooms, privacy, a calm working environment

For building-material brands, the office is often also a place to show products. We can integrate a gallery or material library so visitors see your range in a real working setting.

Space planning: the decisions that matter

Good office design starts with numbers, not finishes. We plan:

  • Headcount and growth. Current team size and expected growth over the lease period, so the plan has room to expand.

  • Work settings. The balance of open desks, cabins, focus rooms, collaboration areas and phone booths, based on how your teams actually work.

  • Meeting rooms. The right mix of sizes, with acoustic separation and video-conferencing.

  • Client-facing areas. Reception, waiting, boardroom and any product gallery, kept close to the entrance.

  • Support spaces. Pantry, storage, server room, printing and washrooms, located so they do not disturb work areas.

  • Adjacencies. Which teams need to sit near each other, and which need distance.

Comfort, light and acoustics

  • Daylight and glare control, important in Gujarat's strong sunlight.

  • Artificial lighting suited to screen work, meetings and presentation areas.

  • Acoustics: sound-absorbing ceilings and panels, and separation between meeting rooms.

  • Air conditioning and ventilation coordinated with the layout from the start.

  • Ergonomic furniture and storage that fits the way people work.

  • Materials chosen for durability and easy maintenance, so the office still looks right after years of daily use.

  • Wellbeing spaces such as a proper pantry, breakout areas and, where space allows, a quiet room.

Bringing the brand into the workplace

Brand expression in an office should be more than a logo on the reception wall. We work with your brand guidelines to set a materials and colour palette, use your own products where they belong (a tile brand's office floored in its best collection, a window brand's office fitted with its own systems), and plan graphics that tell the company's story along the routes visitors take. Done well, the office becomes a working reference for clients and a quiet recruitment tool.

New office, relocation or refurbishment

  • New office in a bare shell. The widest freedom, and the most decisions: services, ceilings, flooring and partitions are all planned from scratch.

  • Relocation. We test-fit shortlisted properties before you sign, so you choose a space that fits your headcount and services needs.

  • Refurbishment of an existing office. Often done in phases while teams keep working, which needs careful sequencing of works, temporary seating and noise control.

  • Expansion onto an additional floor. The new floor is planned to match the existing office and to work with it, including stairs or shared facilities where possible.

Before you brief us: a short checklist

  1. How many people will use the office now, and in three years?

  2. How many work in the office every day, and how many are often away?

  3. Which teams need cabins, and which can work in open plan?

  4. How many client or dealer meetings do you host each week, and how large are they?

  5. Do you need a product gallery, training room or event space?

  6. What is the lease or ownership period, and what is the budget range?

  7. When do you need to move in?

Answers to these questions shape the space programme and save weeks in design.

What's included

  • Brief, space programme and test fits.

  • Space planning and layout options.

  • Interior concept: materials, colour, lighting and brand expression.

  • Furniture layout and selection.

  • Working drawings, specifications and BOQ.

  • Coordination with services consultants for electrical, HVAC, data and fire safety.

  • Site coordination and reviews during execution.

Our process

  1. Brief. Your team, how it works, your brand and your budget range.

  2. Site study. Measurements, services, daylight, building rules.

  3. Space programme and test fits. Confirming the space works for your headcount and growth.

  4. Concept design. Layout, materials, lighting and identity in 3D.

  5. Design development. Details, furniture, services coordination.

  6. Working drawings and BOQ. Ready for contractors to price and build.

  7. Execution. Site reviews and coordination through to handover.

What drives the cost

  • Area and the share of cabins, meeting rooms and special spaces.

  • Condition of the space: bare shell or a previous fit-out to strip out.

  • Services: HVAC, electrical, data and fire-safety requirements.

  • Finish level, joinery and furniture.

  • Acoustic and lighting specification.

  • Timeline: compressed programmes raise costs.

We do not publish fixed rates; we quote after a brief and site visit.

Typical timeline

As a general guide for an office of moderate size, not a commitment, design and execution together commonly take around 6 to 12 weeks, depending on area, approvals and the scope of services work. Larger corporate offices take longer.

Areas we serve

We are based in Ahmedabad and design offices across the city and in Gandhinagar, as well as in Vadodara and Surat. In Ahmedabad this includes the city's main commercial areas, such as SG Highway, Prahlad Nagar, Bodakdev, Sindhu Bhavan Road, Satellite, Vastrapur and Ashram Road.

Why Studio MINIM

  • Architects, not just decorators. Founded in 2018 by Ar. Shruti Desai (CEPT), the studio resolves planning, services and interiors together.

  • Workplaces are where we started. Offices, corporate houses and commercial spaces are the foundation of our practice.

  • Brand thinking. Our work on dealership stores and exhibitions for building-material brands means we design offices that express a brand, not just furnish a floor.

  • Local presence in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat.
